Throughout the change makers lab community ownership is key we were applying bottom up approach, using problem diagram was able to establish a campaign aligned it to my vision, mission that deepened my understanding of the problem silica dust and mercury what's keeping the system is gold and developed power map which has been helpful in supporting us achieve the change we wanted women not using bare hands to clean gold but gloves, wearing masks not exposed to silica dust, government banned using water stream to clean gold , streams have been rehabilitated and fenced, women have initiated VSL " Village Saving and Lending" table banking, members borrow money, pay with interest after 12 months they share interest. Women accessing funds from women enterprise fund they started green house profit is ploughed back in an extension program initiated Shinyalu Sacco open to anyone people accessing loans , have annual general meeting and county government gave them a grant not to be refunded. Women have confidence in speaking initially they were there to be seen and not heard at the moment women have money they can not be silenced " Empower a woman you empower a nation".  Women organizations from other counties coming to learn from Shinyalu Sacco.
