CARE USA Haiti Call

Update on Haiti: One Year Later with Steve Hollingworth, COO CARE USA

Today marks the anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. On Thursday, January 13 at CARE Chief Operating Officer Steve Hollingworth and Government Relations Advisor Marlye Gelin will join a conference call to talk about CARE's work in Haiti: our initial response, reconstruction efforts and next steps. You will have the chance to ask questions and hear about ways that you can help people in Haiti and around the world. We hope you can join us, and please invite others to attend!

Date: Thursday, January 13

Time: 8:00-9:15pm EST/ 7-8:15 pm CST/ 6-7:15 MST/ 5-6:15 PST

To join the call: Dial 1-800-860-2442 and ask for the CARE Haiti Call (US only)

I also wanted folks to know about Meds and Food for Kids (www.mfkhaiti.org) which dedicated to saving the lives of Haiti's malnourished children and other nutritionally vulnerable people.

It has been a tough anniversary of the earthquake but a lot of NGO's are focusing on rebuilding Haiti. I have never been to Haiti and am no expert on the situation and I know a lot more needs to be done. Apologies for the lateness of the post.

Happy New Year!
