Imagine grounding to Mother Earth
I share my coping techniques for staying centered in "Calm: How to Thrive in Challenging Times." I aslo wrote "Calm Parents and Children: A Guidebook." I like to use visualizations to create positive thoughts, such as grounding. It's also useful to do a daily good deed and daily exercise and quiet time to listen to your higher guidance.
Grounding connects you to the earth’s energy and adds power to the calm you feel when you’re centered. Another use of grounding is to release what you are ready to get rid of. This could be old habits, limiting beliefs, other people’s negative feelings, fears and worries, or pain you have absorbed from others in your efforts to help them. As you prepare to ground, sit in a chair with your feet on the floor and remember humor is like the oil that allows gears to engage and work smoothly. Doing energy work is fun because you are not limited by time or space and you’re exploring the inner senses like clairvoyance (inner vision) and clairaudience (inner voice). Decide to be in the center of your energy field or aura, nurtured by it all the way around your body from head to feet. You can imagine this like a bubble around your body and imagine outlining the bubble with the paintbrush around your body. Look and see with your imagination if it is clearly outlined, without leaks, holes, tears or rents. Create a clear bubble to completely outline your energy field.
