BRIDGING THE GAP; EMPOWERING GIRLS AND WOMEN.

Bridging the gap of gender inequality has a been a major problem to the world at large which affects the total output of a nation. Women and girls have been on a disadvantaged; they experience all forms of violence which is against the Fundamental Human Right of a person. In accordance to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations SDG 5-Gender Equality

Our aim is to sensitize and empower the young girls, women and women living with disability in the rural areas about their rights and gender based violence which is prevalent in the community and end gender based violence in the rural areas.

In order to carry out this goal, there will be a mass awareness of this enlightenment whereby we will embark on an advocacy walk and educate the community members, we will also organise a community dialogue where all community stakeholders members will be enlightened. An agency based workshop will be organized for the young girls and women to be trained on how to be assertive and build their self esteem and confidence. We will also visit schools to educate them on violence against women and girls.
