CELEBRATING WORLD BREAST-FEEDING WEEK.
ONLINE DISCUSSION
27th August 2023 6 to 8pm
World Breastfeeding Week is held in the first week of August every year, supported by WHO, UNICEF and many Ministries of Health and civil society partners.
This year's theme is "breastfeed: special efforts for working parents".
Reconciling Breastfeeding and jobs is a combat most women have to go through. This makes it very tedious and stressful fir the nursing mother. However, WHO and UNICEF emphasize that women should not feel compelled to choose between breastfeeding their children and pursuing their jobs.
In order to know more how women in Cameroon handle breast-feeding while pursuing their careers, Dr Tumasang Swiri Foundation in association with Kids for Kids Cameroon - K4K is organising a discussion around this year's theme. A selection of speakers who are career women and workers will help us understand more.
We are targeting 100 online and expected to touch thousands through sensitisation
Dr Tumasang Swiri Foundation holds monthly discussions on health issues and how women can be better equipped to help themselves and raise awareness in their communities.
Join us this Sunday 27th August 2023 at 6pm as we discuss with these women.
