Breastfeeding a Delima for Mother's

I cant personally remember how many years I sucked my mother's breast before I was winned out, I did also resolved I will not ask my mother, in case it turned out I was among the ones who over sucked? Ha

As the first born of the family, I think that would never happened to me. ( I mean the over sucked child). The reason been that as first child your mother quickly winned you out to make way for your siblings.

It's still the same routine with today's mother's, I wonder why we must allow society to dictate to us how we raise our kids, especially the length and duration of breastfeeding we give them.

When I decided to do exclusive breastfeeding with my girl, come and see the comments thrown as stones to me. I had to asked myself Biko(please) is the breast yours or mine?

Mostly, we are asked to do six months exclusive. It's means only breast milk only and only for your baby, even no water can be supplement. This is where a lots of mother's finds it daunting, to obey or not to obey? Should I denied my baby water, the source of life?

There has been a lots of situations when the mother refuses to denied the baby water and all is success, whilst others did also did the exclusive with challenge's. However, we are asked to do the exclusive no matter what. After, the six months exclusive you can now combine water and breast milk for your baby.

I personally determined my duration for the breastfeeding, people can say what they think but at the end it's me who wears the shoe. It's between six months to two years, so you can choose within. A year, a year and have or if the two full years is what you want it should also be fine. Now, half a year is added to the two years and it's two years and a half.
