August is Black Philanthropy Month, and many popular funders are matching your donations dollar-for-dollar to Black-led nonprofits , nonprofits that exist to support and uplift Black communities in the United States including NGOs globally.
I want to take a moment and give a shout out to Bring Awareness to Black Philanthropy.
I would like to add that Black Philanthropy is ongoing and is NOT and should NOT be a one-time celebrated month of the year hoo-rah! This reminds me of the so -called February black history month celebration. So basically you are celebrating/acknowledging your identity, culture and more importantly your Nonprofit/Ngo once a month projects and causes because someone "i don't know who " said so.
Presidents, Founders and CEOs understand that the work we are passionate about is a 24/7 days a week , 365 yearly train on the tracks that has to managed and maintained year in and year out.
Funding is available for Gender Equality, Arts & Economic Growth, Support for Empowering Women and girls, Orphanage upliftment, Housing, Education, Disability Rights, End FGM, Computer Info System(High Tech), Physical Reproductive Rights, and just about everything that is commonly trending today.
What is Black Philanthropy and why is it called Black in a nutshell briefly? Unfortunately it is a very long history to address the chronic, systemic underfunding of Black-led nonprofits and NGOs internationally. It is said that your donation will help close the funding gap and put Black communities in the lead everywhere on the globe which is very untrue point, blank period. Being fair and stop the discrimination and fund deserving organizations that have a proven track record of aiding humanity will keep all Nonprofits/NGOs together thriving point blank period, fairly and equally.
Let's briefly explain or define philanthropy: the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes. Good old common sense dictionary definition. That is it pretty much. In other words one does not have to be a celebrity with huge amounts of money in the bank reserves to care for human beings in our communities and around the world. I wrote a article Philanthropy Now several years ago on Queen Sheba Village foundation platforms and shared it here on World Pulse mentioning all of the above and more.
To all World Pulse members who own, operate or work for organizations who are celebrating and participating in this month of August Black Philanthropy Month go for all you know to seek support and funding for your projects and Initiatives. Remember one thing for sure : erase the word Month. Every educator in their right mind know that food has to be put on the table on a daily basis and projects to help deserving citizens have to be funded ongoing to maintain a healthy decent life and it should NOT be about the race or ethnicity of the organization or the Founders and leaders. (This writing is not about corrupt leaders ran by people of color taking advantage of the same people they claim to serve. We know such corruption exists).
Throughout this month and the rest of your life we encourage you to follow the hashtags below on social media and pledge your support for Black-led nonprofits, Ngos, Foundations, Associations and the like of Black leaders and definitely your own endeavors of good aiding good.
The blessed news there are a good number of nonprofits member leaders @World Pulse who support change-making Trailblazers because we see the "blessed good " grand leaders are doing and the hard struggle they encounter to receive funding, I too experienced this hardship. There are a good number of you to acknowledge and your organization should be registered to receive best results in this month and onward. This is for the reading members who read this article: Peace and more prosperity to all of you , stay forever grateful. Together Our work and legacy GOD willing hopefully will live on to benefit others long after we have departed from this world.
Thank you for your time .
