The Unitarian Fellowship across from my house has honored Black Lives Matter for the past year. Every Saturday at 5 p. m. a group of about 10 people gather to hold signs that say:
HONK FOR JUSTICE!
HATE IS RACISM
9:25 (the time that George Floyd was declared dead)
SAY HIS NAME! GEORGE FLOYD!
NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!
Recently, a statue was unveiled in honor of Mr. Floyd. He has been a great inspiration to the people of Newark, New Jersey. The artist stated that \"the world needed to see a peaceful George.\" Mr. Floyd is pictured sitting on a bench. A brief video can be viewed below.
