Bio Of Halima Abdel Mohammed(FROM GRASS TO GRACE)

FROM GRASS TO GRACE…!

Despite all odds, grown up in the environment that is hostile to girls realizing their dreams, Halima Abdel Mohammed is living the life.

With the good stack of academic qualifications, a flourishing career in journalism, a proud mother of two boys and a girl, she confidently wears the toga of a successful professional working woman.

Halima decided to be a victor and not a victim when she wanted to be denied of the education she cherished so much, she decided to continue screaming in the house until she was sent to school.

She fought poverty, early marriage, imposed type of employment and struggled to live her dream to become the versatile journalist and bundles of talents she is today.

Halima contributed immensely to news agencies in her community. To mention a few, she was once an accredited reporter in \"Sudanow\" monthly magazine, freelancer journalist and translator for \"Al Afaq\" magazine and currently a contributor reporter to
Many web sites and magazines published in Arabic.

She also established her websites in 2001 and 2007 successively (both in Arabic): http://halima.8m.net
http://blogs.albawaba.com/halimam. Shedding light on the effect of neighboring urban centers, on the lives and daily activities of displaced people; economically, culturally and socially, was one of her main goals.

Halima is also famous for conducting researches and investigative reports.
With all these achievement despite the humble background and the environment in which she grew up, Halima could be summed up as an ‘Epitome of Grace’.
