AT LAST I DISCOVERED MY PASSION

For the past years, that I graduated from Yaba College of Technology, I searched for job on my course of study, which is FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. But I couldn't get any, I latter got a teaching job in a primary school, after that, another one in a secondary school teaching mathematics, after some time, I got another job with an Insurance broking firm, all the salary I received is nothing to write home about.

All the time I was attending different seminars on how to discover and develop ones passion. But all to no avail. until i attended one of the Arise program in Reddeem Church of God, city of David. There we were given a flier to attend a training programme for hat makings, make up, tying gele.... e.t.c. My daughter persuaded me to go, we set up our journey on getting there, all the ones we intend learning was cancelled, it was only hat making course that was available, my daughter was very disappointed, but we console ourselves to wait for the training. When we started i discovered that i am very interested in the process, there i was helping others to complete there item, and were asking me if I had learned it beforehand. The following week when we got home my daughter encourage me to go to the market and get the material to start practicing what we have learnt, before you know what is happening, i started making cool money in making of fascinators, hand fan, lapel etc. I no longer depends on the commission i earned in my office, people call me all the time to make items for them. For bridals, choristers, burials e.t.c. i now discover that I have passion for fashion. i do it my leisure time without stress or any difficulties. Even at this period of recession, i am not feeling the heat. I thank God I have something doing that is fetching me something to keep body and soul.
