As riding a bike with square tires

I have been exposed to digital information from a long time ago. But women from my country do not. I was exposed to it as my mother was an open minded women and gave me a white tool when I was 16 years old which open my mind as well. Thanks to her. To have a computer today by the age of 16 may sound crazy as our young people have even ipads, ipods, iphones and all the gadgets we did not dream even about it a long time ago. ¿But which young ones? You, that read this journal may think ALL OF THEM. You may have internet access everywhere, and buy many things on line and read newspapers and magazines, buy tickets and order food online. But there is still a life off line. And there are plenty of young ones off line. And that can sound very romantic but it also may be unfair. It seems to me as if who can have now an online life may be having problems about their online life but we have to face also the other side of the coin as there are still many places where many people have not even notice there is a life going on in an online mode. So for me to have a computer about 30 years ago gave me a whole new experience which allow me to have my universe at my fingers, which by now for some is to have the whole world at a click.

How ever, it is not like that for all of us. I may know more people who does not have a computer, or any digital access tan the ones who does. So tools for me right now not are the ones I need but the ones many need, as computers, web cams, Smart phones or many light devices which can connect us. And it is more about equal opportunities to have access to information. I believe Smart phones may change how we connect as it is just a tool we use to get what we already have: waves. I am truly believed than as we take the steps to be able to get free connections every where, we should at least have the appropriate gadgets who can received the signals now we are sending. Without an smartphone people may not have equal opportunities as many hove them now. A long time ago were computers, but now computers have decreased in size and they are even good to speak, and to take photos and to get access to democracy. An smart phone is a clever solution for all of us to be able to get what we need to make us feel more comfortable.

Challenges we faced learning to use internet is another matter. As here for example, in many remote places old computer arrived as donations, to give opportunities to our communities. But what we forget is that those computers are amazingly old and what they are causing is creating a bigger obstacle in between people with so little knowledge in technology and the real technology. So, the challenge we faced is a matter of time. What we can get here may be sometimes pretty old so it seems as if we will not be able to catch up with you, not in 100 years. I may be, but many will not. My people is learning to use internet in equipments so old they may loose Interest immediately as those computers do not work properly, and that it is a real challenge. It is like learning to ride a bike in a bike with square tires. It could be fun thought but it is a real challenge.
