AS A GIRL TO ME IT'S JUST A WIN

t's been 43 years now, I remember when I was the youngest of five years I went to enroll in the first grade without my parents' consent, you may ask why I did it because my parents wanted me to reach the age of seven, I saw a delay. When I got to school I was told to hold my left ear with my hand my right, which will have passed over the head, the exercise was difficult because I did not manage to catch it, I returned home to continue raising my younger brother during those years there was no kindergarten
I stayed at home until it was time to start the first grade, I remember I went to school with bare feet, notebooks were placed in a bag ,my bag was made of old clothes, I didn't care but I was very happy to start the first grade. I remember the first day saying a,e,i,o,u and counting 1-10 it was a good day I came home singing all the way even when I went to the well it was a song for me.There were many efforts for me to know how to read, write and count. Finally, I finished seven years of primary education. I was asked to join the secondary school here.

I entered the new phase of secondary school, this school was in another region, so my daughter came from the village and I was asked to go from there to the city, I was a person from the village and I don't know anything about the city, I am happy to say that despite the challenges of the village, I managed to pass the final exam and finally join form five and six according to the education of my country I finished and joined higher education. When I was in form six, I remembered that in our village there was no woman who had attained a bachelor's degree except for men. I made strategies to ensure that I finish my education with good success. I managed to be the first girl to finish university education with good success.

Along with the challenges I went through including being late to school due to lack of fees, the influence of young people in the street to drop out of school, household chores I finally made it.

Many girls in the Yangui community encounter various obstacles, for example
oppressive traditions, domestic responsibilities, child marriage, household poverty and patriarchy
many fail to achieve their dreams due to the challenges they are experiencing
At the moment, things have changed a lot because of globalization, many parents are willing to educate their girls, and so far in our village there are many female scholars.
Bravo to all women ouside there.
