Artist-in-Exploration Program by The Explorers Club - Application deadline: November 30, 2014



The Explorers Club is inviting applications for the prestigious Artist-in-Exploration program from its members and non-members. A $25,000 award will be given to one artist or proposal which will be selected by the review committee.



This grant should be used to create a new art work or build on an existing body of work.



Mission of The Explorers club – Explore, Discover, Preserve, Sustain, and Share.



Focus Areas
This program is a rare opportunity to receive funding for art created while working in the field. Artworks of the following categories will be accepted:
Painting
Sculpture
Architecture
Music
Poetry
Photography



Eligibility Criteria
Applicants need not be active members of The Explorers Club but are encouraged to become a Student Member, Associate Member, or if qualified, a Member or Fellow.



How to apply?
Download the application form to your computer, fill it completely and carefully and then email the newly saved file to the email address given on the website.
Only digital Applications will be accepted. The candidate has to scan or photograph all three-dimensional visual material.
Complete application materials include – completed application form, a proposal describing the project, biography and resume, portfolio or artwork (PDF, printed materials, or both), and proof of any necessary additional funding to complete artwork within aone-year period of receipt of award including project’s budget.



Applications must be completed in full as per instructions on the application form and received by 5:00pm EST on November 30, 2014.
