Article 5: Where does Africa’s information safety stand in the tech evolution?

With so many businesses and services going digital in the world, Africa isn't being left behind in that regard as we see so many SMEs creating websites to drive traffic and sales.

Several fintech companies have also come up and these always contain sensitive information such as payment methods, national ID numbers among others.

Tech security, cybersecurity, that should give data privacy and safety is something we don't usually look at. Personally, I have little experience with cybersecurity but can say for sure that this is an aspect we are greatly lacking in my country Uganda.

What can we do to get these who are putting information on platforms and those who own these platforms to look more into this?
