Acknowledging Historical and Ongoing Harm

Below you'll find a link to what the OFFICE TO MONITOR AND COMBAT TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS - U.S. Department of State has to say about race and human trafficking. As an American, I'm proud of these acknowledgements and believe they'll get us closer to safety and justice for all victims. As a victim myself, I know that I was trafficked by a black woman because of the injustices she and others have endured as Black women. It doesn't make what she did right, but it gives me understanding. Because they were, I am. Our realities now interwined, together we move forward, hopefully toward a world where no human being is trafficked, ever. #SisterSafe
