A YEAR OF GROWING, LEARNING AND BUILDING

Seeking
Collaboration

It’s been a while since I shared an update here, and I thought this was a good time to reconnect with the World Pulse community and share what I’ve been up to.
Over the past year, my work has become increasingly centred around one question:
How do we help people, especially young people, become stronger from the inside out?
This question has shaped much of what I have been doing.
I have continued working with individuals who are genuinely hungry for change—people who want to grow, build confidence, understand themselves better and develop the emotional and life skills they need to navigate their personal and professional lives.
My work has also increasingly moved towards teenagers and young adults. I have facilitated conversations, training and development activities around areas such as self-awareness, confidence, emotional intelligence, mindset, character, communication, boundaries and personal responsibility.
I am currently pursuing my Teens and Young Adults Coaching/Counselling certification, because I believe that doing meaningful work with young people requires not just passion, but continuous learning and the right tools.
Over the past year, I have also had opportunities to engage with organisations and initiatives working with young people, including participating in youth-focused programmes and speaking with teenagers in communities where access to personal development resources is often limited.
One experience that particularly reinforced this for me was engaging with teenagers in a rural community in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. It reminded me that talent and potential are everywhere, but access to the right guidance, exposure, support and opportunities is not.
And this is one of the reasons I created The Emerging House Africa.
The Emerging House is a personal and youth development platform built around a simple belief: You cannot change a person's life sustainably without also helping to build the person.
Through The Emerging House, I am developing programs and resources around life skills, emotional intelligence, confidence, self-awareness, mindset, character, leadership and other essential skills that help young people navigate life and become more capable individuals.
I am particularly interested in working alongside NGOs, schools, foundations and organizations serving teenagers and young adults, as an implementation or program partner.
I believe there is an opportunity to complement the incredible work many organizations are already doing by bringing structured personal development, life-skills training, mentoring and capacity-building into programs for young people.
So, as I look at the year ahead, I am not simply looking to do more.
I am looking to do deeper work, collaborate more intentionally and reach more young people.
World Pulse has always been a community I value because of the opportunity to connect with women who are doing meaningful work in their communities and beyond.
So, I’m reconnecting, sharing where my journey has taken me, and opening myself up to collaboration, partnerships, learning and opportunities to contribute.
If you are part of an NGO, foundation, school, youth-focused organization or community initiative working with teenagers and young adults, I would genuinely love to connect.
There is so much work to be done.
And I believe that when we build the person, we give them a stronger foundation from which to build everything else.
Here’s to the next chapter of becoming, building and emerging.❤️
