A Tribute to the Women of Tigray

Women of Tigray, your pain and suffering cannot overcome your indomitable spirit that refuses to be broken. Your spirit remains unbroken, your determination unwavering. You are a symbol of resilience. May the hardships you endure, the sacrifices you make, and the battles you fight never make you forget that your strength is unbreakable, your spirit unyielding.

Your intellect, wisdom, and unwavering determination will overcome adversity, and will surely defy the immense gendered war, societal norms and definitely break barriers. Your unwavering spirit, like the mighty rivers that flows through Tigray, refusing to be diverted by the chaos around you. I praise your resilience, it is like our mountains that stand tall, unyielding to the storms that rages against them. I celebrate your intelligence and wisdom, like the stars that guide lost souls through the darkest nights.

Your ability to heal wounds, not just with medicine, but with a touch that conveys love and compassion. Your ability to raise children, instilling in them the values of kindness, respect, and the importance of community. Your unwavering love for your families, your determination to protect and nurture your children amidst the chaos.

You are the pillars of our communities. I praise your leadership, your ability to bring people together, and your unwavering commitment to justice and equality. I celebrate your voices, which echoes through the mountains and valleys, demanding change and inspiring others to follow suit. Continue fighting for your rights, never lose hope, and stand tall in the face of this atrocity. Your voices matter, your dreams are valid, you deserve peace, prosperity, dignity, love, respect, and equality.

I know that my words are not enough to change your suffering. But I hope that they would serve as a reminder to you that are not alone, that your struggles are seen and acknowledged. 

I seal this letter with a kiss, sending it off into the world, hoping that it would find its way into the hands and hearts of the our women who inspired me. For I know that your strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit would forever be a beacon of hope, not just for Tigray, but for the world.
