I am basically from a small conservative family of Dharwad. The place where I stay still has a rural atmosphere and still needs a lot of developments. The inclination towards uplifting my locality, to empower women in my locality, to save our environment, the urgent need to recycle, restore and make a sustainable ecology. So theses were some of the thoughts I always used to ponder upon.

A combination of all these thoughts. The desire to make these into a reality. I am an MBA graduate in Human Resource Management had always dreamed of becoming an Entrepreneur.

The courage to dream about these bought me to an entreprunal journey. At least for me it was a process. And I had to take each step at one time. It took me years and trust me it is not a cake walk. You will have to face challenges, short comings and failures more than success.

Imagine a pencil made of Old Newspaper actually water resistant. Yes they are real and available.

Yes indeed statistics say that every year 4,00,000 trees of height 60 feet is cut just in India to make pencils. Our vision is to spread awareness of recycled paper Pencils as such as possible and save those trees. Just image those 4,00,000 of our friends with us who supply oxygen.

It is an environmentally friendly approach. Which focuses on reduce recycle and reuse. Here we are using old newspaper as our main raw material in making an entirely new product without cutting of trees.

The new technology uses old newspaper which would have added to the already pilled up landfills and hence these newspapers are given a life and a new product is designed which serves the same purpose of the pencil. And hence is more ecofriendly product. A small step to save our mother earth.

·         Using recycled paper reduces the need for primary raw materials.

·         Recycling of newsprint saves about 1 tone of wood.

·         It has been estimated that recycling half the world’s paper would avoid the harvesting of 20 million acres (80,000 km²) of forestland.

·         Energy consumption is reduced by recycling.

·         Calculations show that recycling one ton of newspaper saves about 4,000 KWh of electricity. This is enough electricity to power a 3- bedroom Indian house for an entire year.

·         Recycling 1 tone of newspaper eliminates 3 cubic meters of landfill.

·         Recycling paper decreases the demand for virgin pulp and thus reduces the overall amount of air and water pollution associated with paper manufacture.
