A different way of creating action

I launched the initiative \"No one should stand alone\" in December 2021. Talking about persons with disabilities, women with disabilities, standing alone and how amazing and game-changing it would be if other women would would stand with us, in allyship, creating a better tomorrow. I was hopeful and then devastated, when no one responded. No love given, no comments and none of the suggested pledges.
I later learned that this was at least partly due to a bug in the system. But it still got me thinking. How could you make a pledge, if you feel uncertain to how you could help, how you could stand in allyship?
So I will change my initiative, start from the beginning. Ask those of you who have a disability to help me identify, the key points if someone whithout a disability should help create a change? In general and maybe also in specific areas, for example at the workplace, in school, at the health care center or in the local community. And maybe also when it comes to different types of disabilities, if you like me use a wheelchair, for a person who is blind or deaf, for a person with autism or someone who struggles with a chronic disability or a mental illness or something else entirely. And how can we bring a special attention to the special needs of women with a disability, to how we work and what is important in our everyday lives?
And how could we honor those who step forward and answer our call for help, a person who suggest a change in the local community? Making it easier for a person with a disability to access shops or services or suggesting the an aid programme should remember the needs of persons with disabilities?
And how can we honor the persons with disabilities who inspire us? We often only honor those who lead the big organisations. But the small pebble thrown in the water can spread it rings wide and impact more than the prominent rock that is more visible. Our societies has taught us to put greater value on masculine strengths and reaching the peaks, rather that those who nuture the growth of the little seedling of hope.
I would welcome any thoughts and reflections on this, and if you prefer, you are welcome to write me a direct message through the WorldPulse message system
