A Closed Mouth.

story
My daily interactions with women on my Whatsaap group opened my eyes to alot of things- many women are suffering and more are gradually dying in silence.
I motivate ,encourage and urge them to speak out and try to reach out to other women rather than remain silent on issues tearing at their hearts and a few are beginning to learn to share.
Little wonder,I wake up some mornings and there is a long voice note waiting for my advise or even just my listening ear.
Some reach out via calls while others in chats. It looks like my numerous talks on speaking out is beginning to gain root after all.
So,it was with excitement that I grabbed the opportunity to represent World Pulse at the just concluded first ever Women's International Film Festival in Nigeria as hosted by a World Pulse sister.
I ensured to speak with almost every woman on the first day of the event, sensitizing them long before the World Pulse team came on board. I educated the women I spoke to on the essence of telling their stories. I didn't let any chance to tell them of what we are enjoying and the unlimited connections this beautiful sisterhood has to offer slip by.
It was such an amazing time, educating many on the need to share as it is said in our local parlance:A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
No woman should be traumatized into silence as this may spell doom for her or the people around her.
Every woman's voice deserves to be heard.
