On 29th April 2022, Daria Mej arrived to Uganda from Poland to join our team in Uganda to create Awareness on Cancer in the rural Communities. It was exciting that I was meeting Daria face to face for the very first time much as we had interacted through the Vital Voices Leadership fellowship in 2014 to date. Dr. Catherine Biira hosted us in Kampala where she mobilize a group of about 20 friends (some cancer survivors) and over 20 children. We shared and interacted , catching up and planning the meetings. The kids were treated to a football game too. It was a day well spent, appreciating that you are not too empty to offer something to someone. Together we can do it was the message.<br>
