24 Pads Initiave

As a Fertility nurse working with women who are trying to conceive. From experience I am aware that Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is one of the major cause of blocked falopian tubes and infertility in women.

It came as a shock when I discovered that Majority of the girls in Africa rural areas still uses fabric during periods because they are not equipped with the knowledge of hygiene during periods also lack of access to quality sanitary products.

It is imperative that young teenage girls who are approaching puberty are adequately sensitised on the importance of Proper hygiene and using quality sanitary products during periods. This would help reduce the chances of contacting infections at an early stage thus reducing the risk of infertility and permanent damage to their reproductive organs.

Our initiative aims to

1.Give health education on hygiene.2.Provide sanitary products that could last up to a year to young teenage girls.

3. Educate them on how to prevent infections.

4. Educate them on Proper disposal of used sanitary products5. Sex Education
