After the lesson on Social Ent ...

After the lesson on Social Entrepreneurship on Operations ,I am coming up with things that will make the Enterprise I am setting up to run smoothly.

Operations are the management of the inner workings of an Enterprise to  work effectively without loosing the goals and objectives of the organization. Each member working independently/ together produce expected outcomes.

To get this I will have to have answers these questions.

What are my core operations?

These will be determined by the objectives of the Enterprise. In working for women and girls and girls living with disabiliities our major  operations will be on advocacies, trainings, administration, sourcing for funds, disbursing funds for projects, etc

What processes can I adopt to make for smooth running of operations?

There are standard operation procedures already established by big organizations that I can use for example standard Operating Procedures for working with unaccompanied, separated and vulnerable children in the North Eastern Nigerian which I already use in sourcing for out of school girls.

Doing these will make for clear steps on what to do at every turn and situation and a framework for accountability.

Policies, Principles, Processes will be adopted to drive the vision and objectives of the Enterprise.  

The core values of the Enterprise will be clear communicated to every member of the team.

How can I and my staff ensure that the processes we adopt work for us?

Setting of goals with input from the team.

Communicate expectations and responsibilities of each member of the team.

Regular updates of progress made of projects.

Make clear communication flow chart for information to Cascade down.

Accountability, especially from up to down.

Respect for rule of law.

I look forward to implementing these now as i develop the structure together with my team of three.
