From Silence to sisterhood

A girl crying

Im on my period

I grew up in a family of boys only. I remember my first menstruation; I was at school. I knew nothing about menstruation besides that there would be a time I would bleed, but I didn't have information on how, even how to use the pads, and I was shy to ask for pads. I messed on my school uniform. The next month I bought pads. I thought last month it came on the 27th, so I wore them on the 27th. By the time it came, the pads were already finished. I remember I once used a tissue. All of this was because of poor information. No one sat down and explained the whole thing. You know, in our culture it's not normal to discuss those things, but I'm challenging that. Why not discuss it with your father? What will happen if I ask him about it since Mom doesn't have time to teach me?

Us girls face a lot of challenges, but for me today, what happened to me won't happen to any other girl child. Why? (Stay tuned)

My beloved sisters, let's create relationships with our children. Let her feel free around you.

I will be happy if you answer my questions
