Justice in Kenya can be slow. But delay does NOT mean denial.

If your case is stuck, do this

1. 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩 - Go to the court registry. Ask for the file status and next mention date. Write it down.

2. 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫/𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞- If you don’t have one, visit Cometogether Widows and Orphans Organization 0702577477/0789577476, FIDA Kenya 0800 720 501, Kituo Cha Sheria 0800 720 065, or County Legal Aid _219. They can push the file.

3. 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭- A simple letter to the Deputy Registrar asking for directions can move things.

4. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟/𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- For land/property disputes, a letter from the Chief’s office can support your court case.

5. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 - Join a support group. Don’t fight alone. Document everything. Keep copies safe.
